When is the Best Time to Stop Working?

December 12, 2018 | A Little Easier #6
Have you ever worked until you felt burned out? Did that make it hard to pick work back up again later? Here's a little tip to help avoid that!

Season 2 is almost here!

Season 2 kicks off on January 2! I can’t wait to launch into a brand new season, full of awesome content, all geared at making life and work easier.

And, we’re starting with a series I’m calling New Year, New Business. If you have any interest at all in starting a side-hustle, you won’t want to miss it!

So, when is the best time to stop working?

This is a strategy I use when I’m spending large blocks of time working.

I like to work, and so sometimes I find that I push myself too hard. I’ll sit in a space for too long, often neglecting stuff I need (water, food, etc.), because I’m in flow.

Plus, I’ve found that if I push myself into that burnout territory, I’m much less enthusiastic about pick up where I left off next

To combat this, I always try to end on a positive.

If I’m getting to a point when I feel almost done with my work, and am debating pushing further or stopping, I now tell myself to stop.

It’s allows me to get some extra rest from working, and it’s way easier to get started later. I know I’ve left in a good place, and so I’m eager to get back to it!

Try it out and let me know what you think! (Head over to the Easier Facebook Group to leave a comment!)
