I’m thrilled that one of Easier’s most amazing listeners, Anna, suggested that we start a book club! I’ve always wanted to be a member of one, but never have found the time for an in-person meeting. Now we’ve got one of our very own ?
To join the club, head over to the Making Life & Work Easier Facebook group. We’ll pick a book each month to read and discuss.
For July 2019, we’re starting with Gretchen Rubin’s Better than Before! I’ve always wanted to read this book, but for some reason, I pass it up each time I’m shopping for one. I finally have an excuse to give it a shot!

White vinegar is the best fabric softener. Seriously.
I discovered a while back that you can substitute expensive, chemical-y fabric softener for plain ol’ white vinegar.
Honestly, I’m not even sure where I found this. I know it was somewhere online, and I was pretty skeptical when I first read it. But. Then I tried it, and discovered that it works.
Seriously, it works.
All you have to do is:
- Use it, 1:1, for your current fabric softener
- If your machine has a dispenser, use that! Otherwise, get a Downy Ball.
Here are some reasons I love it. It’s…
- Way cheaper
- Natural (not full of chemicals)
- Effective! It removes smells from your clothes and washing machine.
Plus, it never leaves a vinegar smell. So, no need to be worried about that!
